MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

When I was young, around 10, I started to be very annoyed

Of certain noises. Unfortunately there's alot of things that set me

Off. Things that normal people don't even notice annoy me

Like people chewing gum, yawning, and even the low repetitive

Bass of some songs. I never knew there was a name for this

Since I was little I convinced myself that I just have to get over

The noises, but I never could. I have a twin sister who does not

Suffer this condition and sometimes she hates me because she

Feels like even when she's trying not to annoy me she does.

I try to explain that for some reason I can't help it. I think she

Hates it the most when I tell her to stop moving her foot back and

Fourth, I can see it out of the corner of my eye and it drives me

Nuts. I guess I'm just glad to know I'm not as alone as I thought

And that there are other people out there that have to plug their

Ears or walk away or cover their eyes just so they won't be annoyed

Of the person next to them. I'm still living and learning although

Sometimes my aniexty levels get high from stress or upcoming

Events, or I'm tired and my symptoms get amplified. Does anyone understand?[u]
