MDJ has become a haven for me during my darkest days, yet has allowed me to reach out and help others through my experiences. I have found so many wonderful people/friends here on MDJ.  When two or more doctors prescribe medication, it becomes important to know our meds. not all medication plays well together. There is a simple tool provided by "Healthline" that allows you to check all your medication.

I have found it to be a challange keeping on top of my med schedule. its tough enough remembering what time to take my meds. Then I have to remeber what med must be taken on an empty stomach another I have to take three hours after I eat. Some meds I need to take with food because they bother my stomach, you know the drill. I find the info that comes with the meds too confusing. I get even more confused when I need medication for something other than my fibro.

I found a great web site to help me. I would like to pass it on and hope it is helpful to you. This site has a tool to let you know if any of your medications clash.

Type in your first drug. Then use the button "add another drug" This section has a drop down box which allows you to pick from a list. I use this because it is too tough to spell  the names of the drugs. If your drug does not show in the drop down box, do not fear. Just start to type the first few letters and you will see a new drop down box to choose from. When you are done you will see a list of interactions. They list the severe interactions first. If you want to know why two drugs don't play well together, click on the "show details"  button.

Its a great site with lots of great info. Hope this helps:)

love, light and laughter

Shelley
