Jim is dual diagnosed and is recovering from Bipolar I disease and alcoholism/addiction. Although he has no medical experience he agreed to be listed on the Dual Diagnosed Support Group leaders page and contribute from his experience and knowledge to others in the group.

"My forte is knowledge and experience with my own dual diagnosis and treatment.  My objective is merely to share that with others, simply and honestly, from a platform which, in some uncomplicated way, may offer hope and incentive to learn more, which may offer an example to motivate others to take the "upper road" and the more arduous journey which has, for me at least, demonstrated a more reliable escape from hell--more reliable than mere pain relief."

On a personal note, Jim has been an inspiration to a lot of us here in MDJunction, if you'll read his forum posts and articles, we're sure you'll understand why.
