Just got back from pain management center. I had appt for follow-up after receiving an epidural block injection for my lumbar spine pain 2 wks ago. It has helped in that I can stand about 7 minutes now instead of 5 minutes. That injection was the first for the lumbar pain, but I had had 3 for the cervical spine earlier. He said today that the first 4 injections I have received were steroid injections and I can't have more of that for now. Now he wants to do some kind of radioactive stuff that will numb the nerves themselves. It should relieve the pain but will only last about 3 months. He has to first do some kind of test???? to see if this new injection will work. He is doing this test on the 7th of May. Crossing my fingers cause I sure would love to be able to stand up long enough to turn a skillet of fried chicken. lol Life is good and all is well.
