What's to Come?

This is more of an input device for me. My wife is the one with the Lymes Disease. And I'm the one with all the questions.

Another year under our belts

May 19 2013

Well another year has come and gone.  Winter lead to Spring...wait what Spring, we had an extra long winter here snow in May and this is Kansas of all places.  Spring finally sprung into Summer and it's been a tick fest here since.  I think I've removed five to ten tick from the girls already.  Shanda is the one that worries me.  I don't want a reoccurrence...

Update Time

Nov 21 2012

Shanda is doing awesome.  Meds are working, knock on wood.  She's been  back to work for a month now and was offered a different job and interviewed for it today.  She'sin good spirits and active.  Engery levels are where they were prior to the lymes.  Still has her moments, but are more bareable to get through.  I missed waking up to see her smiling f...

Shanda, Shanda, Shanda

Oct 06 2012
Well the new meds are really working for my little wife.  She's got that viberents about her again, energy to get up and do things around the house and with the girls and myself.  Actuallyshe's getting ready to go back to work.  "You Go Girl"  tired of staying home I guess.  The New Doctor was what was called for.  He's still attacking this disea...

Doing Good

Aug 25 2012
Shanda has been doing really great with the new meds.  She has more engery and has the abilities to actually get up and doing things around the house without the faces of pain.  I have a somewhatback to almost normal wife again.  We'll keep pluging along for as long as it takes.  The CDC and medical community need to start researching for a cure for this and now West Niles...

It's been Awhile

Aug 14 2012
Well the Lyrica didn't work for Shanda.  She took a turn for the worse and had to come off of it.  Dizziness and nausea were unbearable for her.  The Neuro told her that she also hadFibromyaliga on top of the Lymes.  But we already knew that other problems and illness like to hide in the arms of Lymes.  She started taking a new med call "Viibryd" and "Sa...

Tommy Roe;'s Song "Dizzy" comes to mind

Jul 15 2012

Yesterday wasn't the best of days for Shanda.  She got up took her meds and for a while she felt okay.  And then the meds hit and she became so dizzy, just watching her shake and the unbalanced looks she had were scary.

My thoughts on the situation were.  She took her meds on an empty stomach.  Could this have been the problem?  Along with the dizziness came t...

Good News always comes with Bad News

Jul 04 2012

On top of the Lymes Disease, my wife was just diagnosed with Fibromyaligia, we were somewhat told that both seem to go hand in hand with one another.  So with the Lymes and now the Fibromyaligiawe start our next journey.  They put her on Lyrica and for the first time in a long time, she said she wasn't in any pain, that was good news and she has actually been able to get out and d...

Pain

Jun 27 2012

I guess it wasn't the best of days, for my wife.  I got home to find her laying on our bed, looking as if she'd been ran through a ringer.  She just plain out looked beat.  Nocolor to her what so ever.  She told me that she hurt and if I'd rub her neck, which she's complained about off and on, over the last coupe of days.  I know the heat is taking a tol...
