Weebles Wobble And So Do I !!
Jul 31 2008
Well, this coming Tuesday I get to do the Electronystagmography or balance test for Meniere's. It should be big fun (she said sarcastically). The doctor told me to bring someone who can drive me home since the test will probably induce a big vertigo attack. Guess I'll be taking the meds along, too!  But this will be a defining test for my ENT, who says I have most of the symptoms but he wants to be sure. And if anything looks wonky, he'll send me off to a specialist.
As for the fibro, my doctor increased my Lyrica dosage. Acutally, she doubled it. I sleep well, but I sleep until 10:00 most mornings! Even working at home, this is not good. Hopefully, I'll adjust soon.

Hi,I'm new to the Meniere's group and saw your diary post about the ENG test. I had one, too. Silly me, I walked to the audiology place....they told me the vertigo would only last about 15 minutes afterwards. It took me about 12-18 hours to fully recover and feel myself. I would love to know if they found anything out of the ordinary with your test. Hope all is well!

Well, I had the test done Tuesday. The vertigo it caused was INSANE and I was famished afterwards. But I really didn't feel totally recovered until today. When I got home Tuesday, I had to take a Valium for the residual vertigo. Yesterday was spent with a migraine (which I rarely get now) and dizziness. Woo hoo, ain't this fun? I'll post results after I visit the ENT again.
