Stone Soup - norma's Diary
View Profile A stone soup is made by putting a clean stone in a large pot and filling it with water. A fire is started and the pot is placed over it. Each person adds a vegetable or meat or whatever they bring. It becomes a soup and the taste reflects the ingredients brought to the soup by whomever chooses to contribute. My diary is a stone soup made from the encounters both good and bad of the day.

I have a selfish reason

I have a selfish reason for posting on this site.  I do it because once when i was alone and thought i was losing my mind there was no one there for me.  So, i post here and try to give a hugor a comment that may make someone elses road a little easier.  And they won't be alone.  I do it because I am selfish.  I believe in karma.  What goes around comes around.  I am just starting the circle back to myself.

You are not being selfish!

I think your reason is very similiar to mine. See the quote from my group leader bio below:

"God has seen my wife and I through all of the things we have endured for a reason. To help others trying to run the gauntlet I should think is a fitting use of the experience rendered unto us."

We know the hell of this (experienced it personally you and I have) just gotta help someone else through the flames.

I have found that I came here looking for help, lonely and needing a place to get the garbage in here out... it is through helping others that I am helped. What a paradox!

GOD BLESS

It is no secret that I am going through a really bad time right now. You have helped me more than I can ever say. Thanks to your unending kindness, wealth of wisdom, and support I have been just stable enough to help a few others. The circle of healing that has begun with you and will continue to inspire us all. That is true karma, and it is selfless on your part.

*huggles and love*
