MDJunction to me

tomboykimi"What MD Junction means to me is a place where i can feel like im not alone. As someone with something as rare as hydrocephalus, it feels like im the only one in the world with it. When i came to MD, its like everyone has it. It doesnt feel like im alone. And that people need to hold up a sign to say what i have, because people know. And they understand. I can get questions answered from people who have been through it rather than from doctors or people who only can tell you from a physical standpoint. THat is what MD junction means to me." Starting CBT for panic attacks/agoraphobia/emet.

My journey after 14 years with panic attacks/agoraphobia/emetaphobia.Currently undergoing CBT.

Introducing myself!!

Dec 20 2011

The purpose of this diary is for me to keep track of my panic attacks, chart my progress (or not!) and have somewhere to vent.

I`m not sure if anyone will read this diary, but just incase they do here is a bit about myself.

My name is Lucy and i`m 34.I`ve been with my partner for 15 years. We have a 9 year old daughter.

I`ve suffered from Emetaphobia since i was 6 or 7.My panic attacks kicked in around age 19.

I went from working full time, having a busy social life, playing sports to feeling ill/panicking and spending most of my time in the house. There have been several times where i`ve been housebound, and a few times where i`ve been able to go out locally on my own.

At the moment i dont really go out.

I`ve just had my 2nd session of CBT and its brought up a lot of stuff i`ve forgotton/pushed to the back of my mind and i`ll be writing about that in later posts.
