MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Slowly starting progress

Venita'a journey. It took me 30 years to become the size I am and I pray the times it takes to get this weight off is reduced to about 2 years total and then forever lifestyle changes and learning a new way to eat and live... not live to eat.

6 Week Visit after Gastric Bypass

Apr 13 2010

Ok.. I am down 34 pounds in 6 weeks. I can add more foods, but I feel a bit nervous doing so. My doc said that was fine, to go at my own speed and that I will tire of somethings and want to add newones in.

I will restart my Curves for Women workout this week and hope to keep going at the steady pace I am now. In two weeks, I lost 7 pounds and this seems very good for me. I am not hungry between meals and I actually am getting use to eating the 'good stuff'.

You and I are on the same track. I am 9 weeks out and about 40lbs lighter. I've just started phase 3 (soft foods) but have to say that everything just feels "funny". I don't know how else to describe it. I wouldn't say indigestion just a heavy awkward feeling. I've had 3 strictures and don't know if what I'm is normal. Does anyhone have any thoughts?
