RickEJ"I was diagnosed 8 years ago with Bi-Polar II.
With no support in my area I searched the web for help, after two years I stumbled on to MDJ.

This is part of bipolar illness. Sometimes i get so ill i cant stand myself. try not to say things you will be sorry for. Take deep breaths, a long shower or walk. If nothing you do helps talk to psy doc about your medication. good luck to you

Are you on any anxiety meds for the agitation? Might help.

I have had periods of anger - what helped was going in the laundry area with both the washer and dryer blocking out my voice. I could let out those angry feelings and not hurt anyone else

My psychiatrist said that unfortunately, there is not a medication that will cure anger. You just need to talk it out. A psychologist helped me.

I have pretty good control of the angry and agitation, although I snap quickley sometimes, but ussually just a raise of my voice and a quick apology for it. It helps to just say the way I feel then I am aware and keep my cool better.
I have 2 more weeks until I see my tdoc, she has been on maternity leave.
thanks deb
