A lot of people ask me if/how they can help MDJunction grow and help more people.
Well… we do need your help!
Bellow is a small list of things I thoughtof it’s under 3 categories. On site, other places and people you know.I don’t expect everyone to start fulltime work on this, but when you do have some spare time please give this a thought ;-)
On Site
This is easy…
Be nice to everyone, join discussions and let people know your thoughts, hug people – everyone likes to be hugged, if you feel you can become a group leader – let us know, review your doctors (add them if no one did before), Invite your caretaker to help the group, write a diary (and comment others) and write articles related to your condition.
I know ‘Article’ is a big word, but what we really need is your opinion and point of view. You can write about your personal experiences, you can write some info about your condition (symptoms, treatments, and famous people), you can research a bit about clinics, associations, offline support groups – anything that might benefit others. That’s why we’re all here.
Other Places
The most important thing is Word-Of-Mouth. Tell people about MDJunction, about your experiences and what you gain. The more people know the better.
If you have a page on MySpace, FaceBook, friendster etc’ please link to your support group from there, make it easy for people to find it. If you write a blog – Please please please write about us ;-).
Many of our members participate in all sorts of forums. If you think it’s relevant, tell people in those forums about MDJunction. You can even link to it from your email signature (One of our members sent me an email and his signature said ‘I believe in People Helping People’. It was a link to MDJunction !!).
The help is not limited to the internet. You can tell your doctor, at the clinic or at a support group.
People you know (or can reach).
Fortunately (or not) humans still rule the earth. We all know people. They know people. And many of us know how to get to people…
All the people I describe bellow can be pros on a national level, but it’s just as good if they do it as amateurs in the basement.
So - Do you know?
Reporters, Bloggers, people who work in/with Organizations & Associations, website owners, Land base support group leaders and members ????? If you do, please tell them about MDJunction. they can help a lot in spreading the word around.
Thanks everyone!

Great post...
Sorry I have not been on a lot, Mom has been really sick and the dog had knee surgery (NEVER AGAIN)...lol
I agree with one thing...We need to keep this board, nice and friendly...Not everyone can agree with each other, but getting mean and nasty to me is childs play...
Ok, time to go back out and shovel (Yes still doing that)...lol

I've written about and stumbled mdjunction. Does anyone else Stumble? www.stumble.com It's a really lively place, and there is a Fibro group there. Not much goes on, the Junction is So much better for this. But it gets the word out to lots of people. I talk about it a LOT on the National Garden Club. I've had people from both tell me how better they felt (Like I did!!) coming here. It's incredible how much you learn here, how awesome the people are, etc. And if you just need to vent and get something off your chest, you can. It's great! I blogged in my Stumble about it, but I didn't in my reg. blog yet (been so busy fatigue-ing {ugh} and sleeping so much). Will get back on the ball. I know a reporter here in town. She's helped me with several stories in the past. I will send her a note and talk to her about a story on MDJunction!
Thanks for such a great place Roy!

First of all...your baby is such a doll! Must look like Mom
I have a link for MDJunction on my website at www.myspace.com/cammiegal Is there a pix/logo you'd like me to use with the link? I didn't want to take THAT liberty without this site's permission.
Geez, your baby is precious!
How's that Excedrin working?

I just joined the group this morning....and being a lifecoach, who is focused on helping others online with MG or other chronic illnesses.....your request for help got my attention.
You might want to read my blog....it may help you see the things that I do, the things I'm focused on and how my experience could help others. I may have just been diagnosed with MG...but I've been living with it for almost 20 years now.
Please let me know how I can help. I'm always available online for those in distress....to encourage....to empower....to motivate.....and to be a witness to someone elses pain.
I'm at your disposal.
Thanks...

I was awestruck when I happened upon her picture. I stared for a long time. How precious, you are blessed indeed!!( and so is she! ) Roy, I may can do a little here, I mainly do all I can to support, comfort and entertain ppl in my groups
...I hope it's enough. I have brought 3 ppl to MDJUNCTION, but that's about it. I love the Fibromyalgia best,,but I belong in a loooong list of groups,,,,I LOVE IT!!
I'm new to the group. I have a 4 yr old boy with Down's syndrome. I,ve also had depression for several years but it's under control now. I also want to let everyone reading this know that I am a great listener and would love to talk with any of you if you'd like. I don't judge I'm just somebody who will listen. Nice to be in the group! Madlyn

Second, great entry. have you noticed how much our little lyme group has grown?! I'm so proud of that!!!! I will add it to my myspace page, never thought about that. I was just telling my LLMD about us yesterday too, he was thrilled I was here doing what i do! I'm always talking about us! Some site get all up in arms if you mention another site, just ridiculous, if you're in the business of helping people, then help people. I don't mind people mentioning other sites if it will help them, because I know they are also mentioning our site. I can't tell you how many people have pmd me telling me they are so happy they found a "home" finally. We are a rare site I think. Very low drama, and I'm so proud of that. I just won't tollerate it. And I think our "family" appreciates it .... yes disagreements are typical in a family, but rudeness, not tolerated. I will do what I can to find us more members
