MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

MDJunction updates

Mar 29 2009

Hello friends,

It's been three months since my last diary post. I'm really not living up to my promises here...

As you guys probably notice MDJunction is getting biggerand bigger, more people joining our family and more support for everyone! I'd like to thank everyone for the great work you're doing in spreading the word about our community. So many people tell me they found out about MDJunction from their therapists, someone they talked to at a waiting room or a flayer on a bulletin board. It's amazing!

More people sometimes also mean more arguments :? , I just want to remind everyone to respect each other (one of my oldest posts which somehow seems to always be relevant). We're all here because we want to be part of this great support arena let's not forget the ‘being part of' ;-)

OK - now to fun stuff! In our tradition of ‘you ask - we do' we've just added a really cool new feature that was your #1 asked for. In your personal profile page (btw we call it PPP) you'll find a new link for ‘Hug all my friends' at the bottom of the My Friends module. One hug to all your friends at once! Enjoy! Ahhh to keep this under ‘some' control we've set the availability of the feature by member's rank:
New members - not available, only one hug at a time (come on guys it's really easy going up this rank....)
Member - all my friends once a month!
Senior member - All my friends twice a month!
VIP Member - all my friend once a week!

Let the hug-a-mania begin.

Two more tech updates. While doing the hug all my friends we also updated the friends' module itself and it is now showing the friends who are online on top (probably #13 on your wish list). Second update some of you might not like... we are doing a big technical upgrade next week and one of the consequences of it will be that the forum signatures will only show text from that point on. No images and other HTML. You can still do all of that in your PPP (if you don't know what PPP is you haven't been reading the previous paragraph carefully.... LOL).

On a very different tone. A few days ago Gloria , one of our most active members, leader of the PTSD group and a woman you just couldn't ignore passed away. We are all very sad, she's touched many souls and will be greatly missed.

Back to diary. I guess that's what life really is...My amazing UV 20 months old (looks 12 yo in IMHO)

That sounds great I was thinking about that myself I'm glad that I wasn't the only one think the same thing, thank you. I love it here just like everyone else. It was exactly what I was looking for, I'm glad I came across it. I found it on google. I was looking for weeks for a support group. In my area they only meet twice a year, crazy. This is what I needed for a long time. Thank you.

hi roy! smilies/grin.gif
so it's a hugger's tournament that has been started; couldn't resist with all the basketball tournaments going on!

it seems like yesterday your daughter was born and PROUD PAPA was telling us and showing us her photo! so grownup ...

how is alon coming on getting a NEW DARK color to read what topics we are subscribed to, etc.

example, like the orange color above, is ILLEGIBLE for my low vision eyesight since it's a LIGHT color barely showing up.

with my lyme disease having effected my eyesight bad, i have to have ALL CONTRAST/BRIGHTNESS down to ZERO as it's like looking directly at the sun.

ROY, THANK YOU for your foresight and desire to start this board for EVERY imaginable disease so we ALL GET SUPPORT ON OUR ILLNESSES/SYMPTOMS!!

god bless you and alon!! we really appreciate you and the UNLIMITED HOURS each of you spend here.

Hi Roy, smilies/smiley.gif

Enough ""thank yous"" cannot be said for all the hard work you and Alon have put into this forum for us, but T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U ~~~~ !!!!!

There have been several times that I have wished I had the (computer) abilities to {hug} each and every one (or at least more than one at a time) of my friends. Nice addition ~~~

Your ""little one"" is adorable and we re glad you share her pics with us. Love to watch the little ones change and grow ~~~

Take care ~~~ {{{HUGS}}} Marilyn

Yep, looks like a moody 12 year old to me. So does this mean you will be faced with the terrible two's at 12. Oh no! Ha ha. Hopefully not.

Hello group. My name is Jacqueline (Jackie for short). I am so glad I found this site. I have so many questions and hopefully you guys can help me find the answers. For starters, my son, who is 8 years old, has had lots of surgeries. His speech is not very good. he has a small jaw and his air way is small as well. Has anybody's child had the spinctor surgery. I hope I spelled that correctly. I have so many questions and no one to speak with. Doctors give you their clinical advice. i want someone on the other side. He also had surgery on his leg that did not turn out so well. if I had spoken to someone I would have made a better choice as to NOT have it done. (He had a webbed leg).
Also, I am in the Oakland county area in Michigan. I would like to start a support group.
