Diary and PM update |
May 31 2011 |
Hi Everyone, I hope this finds YOU in good health & spirit!
Today we launched a few upgrades that, as always, were requested by your fellow members and are all improvements of your user experience.
Diary section
Privacy. So many members asked for this... we had to do it ;-)
you can now choose Who can read your diary:: Anyone, Only Members, Only My Friends or Only me. make your choice on who should see your personal thoughts.
Delete comments. You can now delete any comment someone writes on your diary entries. Total control of your own domain.
PMs
Check boxes were added to the left of each PM in the main PMs page. The top box will allow you to choose all or none & at top right you now have an ‘actions' drop down to make the ones you choose marked as read, delete, email and more.
We also added the archive option to all PM pages (not only in the PMs). As you know PMs are deleted from the inbox after 30 days, archiving will allow you to keep them forever!
At the ‘compose' option in the PM section we added an auto complete option. If you start writing the name of the friend you wish to write to - the system will complete and allow an easier way to write a PM.
I'm sure you'll enjoy these new improvements & we do want you to keep sending us your ideas on how to make MDJunction a better place for YOU!
On another note.. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our MDJ Advocates
I am sure many of you have noticed the rise in activity (which is almost site wide) over the last few months. When trying to trace the origin of that we predict that a lot of it is the result of the great work done by our Advocates! Our advocates have been talking about us in facebook, yahoo. In their doctors' office, fliers & recently even making sure we're rightly mentioned in Wikipedia !!
If you didn't get the chance to tell us how you advocate for MDJ pls go to MDJ Advocates fill the form & give us the chance to honor you with the advocate badge ;-)
Long time no diary means long time without a new UV photo... so here's two of them ;-)

I tell anyone who'll listen about what a great site MDJ is.
What a beauty your daughter is and she is really growing. Time flies so fast.
Thanks again for all the hard work and helpful upgrades.
Karen
Your daughter is precious!
Thanks for your hard work!
Gentle hugs to you and your little sweetheart, John.
I was visiting my sugeon, Dr. Perry for a 6 month check-up after decompression surgery, and was able to share MDJunction info with 2 other patients in the waiting room. When I mentioned the site to Dr. Perry, he liked what I was able to share with him about the site. He made a note to look into the site, and to share the info with his patients as a great place to share info, experiences, etc. Thanks for all of your work on the site!! We appreciate you!!
Nancy
You are very lucky to have such a sweetie pie.
Thank you for your work.
Why is there so little (or none), collaberation between the various Dercum groups? It would be so wonderful to have all together, we are all in the same boat!!! I noticed that there were very few people from the yahoo group at the Chicago Conference, for example. Could you please comment on that. I belong to all groups, in the hope to find as many answers as possible.
Have a great summer,
Kattamaki (Carina from Germany)
shortstuff Bravo for YOU!!!

I do not think you are a bad person... not for 1 second..,.
maybe I should just get a big fucking grip....
What if I cant?
Should I just end it? stop being a waste of air!

Thanks for giving me the great info. I just joined last night, and am looking forward to talking to others that go through the challenges I am now experiencing. I just turned 55 this month and have always been very healthy except for droopy eyelids. In the last 7 years I have developed weak legs and extreme fatigue.
Your daughter is beautiful!
Talk to you again,
Bonmos

I rarely feel included anywhere,,, mostly my own family.Yes, I am sick with ilnesses, but I know I"d feel much better if I were loved by my family.... and I feel like family here more than in my own family. It hurts, and always will...but I thankyou for everything you provide for those of us who suffer from am multidude of things...I can come here in my weakest days, and feel part of the family,,your never judged here,,and I don't have to afraid to speak..Thankyou Roy!!! and I love the pics of your beautiful girl!! TY TY TY,,,,,, achyten
Roy, I am organizing a stroke awareness event and was wondering if I could post the fb link here so as to get everyone to support my page by simply clicking on 'like'. The trouble with not4profit events is the lack of sponsors. Therefore, if I can have support from everyone around the world then it would spread the news so to speak. So please let me have your permission. Thanks Roy. Thank you for the changes. It looks good. We can discuss here. I will come here again with my new experiences.
You and your assisten Jen, both of you are the friendliest and most helpful people from all Health Forums.
Your girl is going to be really beauty. As you know, my new Hobby is Photography. Usually, I don't make photos from the people, but I would like to make photo from your charming daughter.
Bobbie
Thanks for keeping me up to date,I rarely go on the computer except to try and find a job but it was a pleasure to see your daughter's pictures.
Your daughter is absolutely beautiful! The blessings of our children (and grandchildren) make life worth living with these dreaded diseases and all the hurdles.
Thank you and God Bless,

Your daughter is just beautiful. Thanks again, and hope you are well.
appreciate if u send me guidelines, internet connections in Sri Lanka where I live is the pits cos I'm in a remote hilly area, far away from civilisation - not the best for my Parkinson's I'm told but I love my home.
Thank you for ALL you do for us!! You are awesome and you truly care. You noticed I hadnt been on the site for awhile abd my doctors dont seem to notice anything. Your daughter is precious! I have 2 and I thank God for them everyday.
Love the photos of UV as usual. When I started to think she was only a baby now she is a beautiful little girl. Enjoy everyday with her. Time is so precious. Many Blessings to you and your family.
Hugs and Love,
Viv
