MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

hey booklady, u know i think that at some point each and every one of us thinks the same thing. with as much pain as we all have i think depression just goes hand in hand, that is just my opinion cause i have been dealing with depression for a long time now and it has crossed my mind. but then i get to thinking about my family and I KNOW FOR SURE they could not get along with out me. not only do they support me but i support them. they did not know what to do with me when mine started but the dr made me take a full month off from work and put me on some meds and it done wonders for me, i have a son that has been dealing with depression for a few months now and i think it took him dealing with it for some of them to understand. oh i still get down and out, and my temper seems to be worse than it used to but if im able i walk or sit outside w/ favorite grandson, and then again i just get off by myself and read, read, read. just remember that most of us are probably dealing with it to and we would be more than happy to talk to u. thats what were all here for to support one another!

thanks to both of you for your comments. I am doing much better depression wise. Now just trying to get through each day and trying to at least to one thing in my day "to make that day count". sometimes it is no more than washing a load of clothes, but hey, I couldn't do that before!

I bared my soul in my profile, things I've only told a psychiatrist. It helps to talk sometimes and get it out. We all on this site are going through problems including depression. Please seek medical help if you are depressed also. And don't give up. Send a PM if you want and I will answer.

Booklady,

Know that you are not alone. I can tell you that we are all on this roller coaster ride together. I will share with you that when I have a flare up-I become weepy and depressed. When I feel good my mental state is good-when I feel bad I get depressed-it goes hand in hand with this disease-the problem with depression is when you can't kick out of it yourself then sometimes you need a bit of help. If you ever get to that point please see your DR as they can determine if you need assistance with medication etc. Hang in there and know you are not alone!
