MDJunction to me

sleepySheri"in august 2008, i accidentally found this site and i love it. i have struggled with narcolepsy since 1993 and to this day i have never met another narcoleptic in person. to share my story and read the stories of others as well as try to help others means the world to me. i want to thank all those who are there to listen to me and to give me advice...." I congratulate myself heavily. Somehow, and I'm not sure how but i'm not complaining, i've managed to lose close to 40 pounds in the past year! I'm so excited about it that i almost can't sleep at night. of course, i never could to begin with but that's all right. at least this time it's for a good cause. YAY ME!

Wow! Just read this. Congratulations on your weight lose. It took me about 2 years to lose 25 lbs and then I gained 10 lbs back when I was on Prednisone. I'm working now to get rid of that 10 and am making slow progress. That's OK though because I'm pretty sedentary and am just getting started on being more active around the house, plus I'm walking a short distance everyday. I have Degenerative disc disease and have fallen on the stairs twice in the past 6 months. The last time I sprained my right knee and it seems to hurt worse with time rather than better. Guess I'll have to see one of my docs about that.
