MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Now it's Only a Memory...

Now it's Only a Memory recalls my past, discusses my present, and focuses on my future. "Now it's Only a Memory" is a line from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I am not a Harry Potter fanatic, but this line stuck with me. I have held on to so many indiscretions, so many injustices, and so many trespasses on my soul that this line made me realize that instead of obsessing over these "things" I need to remember that they are only memories and I have a life to live. Welcome to my little corner of the world...

Success!!!! Was there really ever any doubt?

Jun 17 2012

I went. I saw. I conquered. I learned so much about myself and what I am capable of, which is a lot. We left Sunday, came back Thursday. I used all of my tools in my toolbox that I've been discussinghere for months-positive self-talk, breathing techniques, positive imagery, and meds. I experienced no episodes. There were anxious moments here and there and moments I needed to work through, but because I had practiced and put in the time with exposure therapy, I knew what to do before my low levels of anxiousness rose to be a problem.

I will write more about my experiences soon and post more pics, but wanted to check in. Thursday night when we got home I sprained my wrist while unloading the motorhome-at least it happened when we returned. So, typing is a little difficult, but wanted to at least check in and let everyone know my vacation was a fantastic success! We're already planning a weekend getaway for sometime in August! I'm hooked on this traveling in a motorhome thing!  :)

Congrats on the great family vacation! It's unbelievable what we are capable of...actually its believable we just need to get ourselves to that point. The hardest part is finding the confidence, once you have that nothing will fail you. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy your vacation with your family. Hope your wrist gets better soon!
