Hello,
You struck a chord w/me when you posted about how this can be a lonely battle & how people you thought were your friends in fact are not! It's a hard pill to swallow, I'm a musician so I know a LOT (hundreds) of people & thought most of them were my friends, well when I first started getting ill (1996) I found out how people really only want to be friends with you if everything is going great, as soon as things are not fun anymore those people vanish! I can count my close (real) friends on 1 hand! You are not alone, if you ever need a shoulder I'm here for you. All my best...

I have quoted you. This is SO TRUE. It's painful, but true. It's horrible, but true. It sucks that people are so "fair weather". I find that more so now that i've been sick than ever before. I literally cannot have a bad day and make a comment about it to someone on the phone because by the time i finish my complaint, the person has already come up with a reason to rush themself off the phone with me. How sucky is that! No one wants to hear about anything negative, ever. I don't know when people became this way but it's so much more prevalent since i became sick and aware of others reactions to my chronic pain.
