Ow ow ow

I am having a horrible day. I woke so stiff I could barely roll out of bed. My feet hurt so bad I'm shuffling around like Ozzie at his last concert! My hands hurt so much I had to get creative to get the toothpaste on my toothbrush. I have shooting white hot pains randomly striking my forearms, shins, thighs, feet, fingers, hands, neck, and back (should I just say everything?). My skin hurts - my shower was agonizing. I want to crawl back in bed with a very very soft blanket.

&nbsp [...]

Car accident

I got in a !@$!!% car accident last week. I was driving down the interstate, and suddenly I'm going in circles! There were semis coming straight at me, and thank godsthey swerved and missed me. I missed 2 semis and a dump truck before careening into the back side of another semi. I apparently blew out one of his tires and the underside of his trailer destroyed the right front of my SUV. That was so !@%!@% scary! Having no control of my vehicle, seeing those trucks head straight for me, I [...]

Doubting again

Lying in bed last night, I started doubting my diagnosis again. I have no doubt that I have "connective tissue pain", but I just can't seem to rest on that. There has to be something causing it, right? Then the what-if's sneak in - what if it's (insert something worse - lupus, MS, etc) and they're not looking for anything else?

I'm not nearly as bad off as most of the people on this board. I am able to do whatever I want 90% of the time. Does that mean I w [...]

Hooray Christmas!

Christmas was awesome! Christmas Eve was almost completely pain free (I'd say a 1 or 2!), and my mom didn't drive me up the wall, either. I ate like a pig and didn't care. I got great stuff. The kids loved their stuff. Good day.

Christmas Day was also awesome. Lots of yummy food and laying around playing with presents. That night I had a "my skin hurts, don't touch me" kind of night, but I didn't let it get my spirits down.

I got P90x, which i [...]

Xmas Eve Eve

So much to do today and I'm taking my sweet time. Wearing my back heat-wrap, and my elbows hurt (what a weird statement, but you guys know what I mean, right?!).

Tomorrow is when my familydoes Xmas (yay early presents! heehee), but that means I have to totally finish everything today.
I had to go to Target [done]I have to pick the kids up from their dad'sI have a couple small wrappings to do - and thanks to the kittens, a couple repairs and rewrappings :)I had to rearrange [...]

3 days till Christmas!

Yesterday ended up a lot better than it started. I woke up still really sore from the day before. After a salt bath, a stretching DVD using those foam roller things, and a massage, I went to sleep at a solid 2. I woke up around a 3-4 but that's still get-on-with-my-day tolerable, and hopefully it will subside as the day goes on. If I could find a back heatwrap, that would help a lot.

2 days till Xmas Eve - that's when my family does Xmas with the cousins, etc. It's al [...]

Argh

Yesterday was my worst day yet. I was in so much pain I was in tears at times. My foot, my hand, my knee, my leg, my back, my neck. I went grocery shopping and carried all the food upstairs and putit away because no one was home. My forearms were screaming.

The rest of the night I tried repositioning the heating pad and ice packs. It eventually subsided, but I'm still very sore today, in places I didn't used to be. My other foot is now cramping up.

Last night, I started [...]

First entry - my story

In April, I started seeing an orthopaedic for pains in my foot: my big toe joint "caught fire" randomly, my ankle hurt and was tender to touch, and the outside of my foot was getting stifferand sore. She did Xrays and didn't see much aside from a tiny bone spur on my big toe and that I have high arches. She fitted me for orthotic shoe inserts and sent me on my way.

The inserts helped my big toe, and that rarely flares up now. But my ankle and side of my foot kept getting [...]
