Good Morning MDJunction!! |

Hey, I am starting on the road to good night sleeping, and bright days. I have be diagnosised with Sleep Apnea, and I believe it is a blessing. With Fibro I have had so much troublegetting to sleep, staying asleep, and don't even talk about REM sleep. My body has not seen that sleep in years!! However, I went to through all the test (total of 2), and discovered that by the end of the second test, with full face mask, I had finally gotten a full nights sleep. I was given a machine call a CPAP, and it helps with breathing correctly so that you get that deep REM sleep. I felt soooooo refreshed and wide awake, that I didn't believe it was possible. That was friday night. The sleep therapist was able to set-up my machine to the specifications my physician orders. Last night was my first night alone, and I couldn't get the face-mask to work correctly, so my sleep last night was pretty bad. However, I am not giving up......one little machine and face mask is not going to get me down. I won't be able to get in touch with the lady who schedules home visits until Monday, so tonight might be another bad night, but with the prospect of lots of better nights to come, one night will be alright!! Have any of you Fibro folks tried this form of treatment? I would be very interested in hearing any feed-back I can get.
