I saw my pdoc last week and explained to him that my meds have not kicked in yet and I really need a fast acting mood stabalizer to take short term until we find the dose of Lamictal that I need tobe on. He prescribed Geodon and increased my Lamictal dose. I'll tell you what...I feel so much more grounded now. This past week has been awesome! My husband told me last night that's he's noticed a gigantic difference in my mood and my general attitude and he's very happy with my progress. It feels good to hear that he's seeing a difference. His opinion matters so much to me; I want so much to make him happy. This past weekend I had so much energy and I put it to good use and cleaned my house top to bottom. I also reorganized a bunch of area's I've been meaning to do for months but never had the energy until now. I included myself in family activities and enjoyed playing with the kids and having family time that wasn't intertwined with a bunch of stress. I'd alienatted myself for so long and it was nice to feel comfortable around them again, and even more important, to want to be around them again.
I'm very pleased with my progress so far and I'm looking forward to my therapist appointment this week. My husband is planning to come too, so that he can get a better handle on what I'm going through and what he can do to aid in my "recovery".
