My Journey

This is my quest. To find a better place where i am in control of my life

This just keeps getting better....

Jul 11 2012
Well the wife went to her first Nurse Support Group Meeting last night....(this is a group of other nurses who are in a program for drug or alcohol addicted nurses).  I guess it is nearly impossiblefor a nurse who is in this program to get a job nursing. and If the wife does what she is told and is clean for 2 years she can get off this thing and go to work as if nothing happened.... Well so much for the hopes of the wife getting her life back in the next 2 years. Further more it has her do defeated that she is doing what she does best... hides and runs from her problems and blames it on her depression. Lets not forget the fact that in the last 2 weeks she has missed doses of her anti depression meds and it has her all out of whack chemically.  She needs to be in rehab and she is finding out they may recommend that she be in rehab for 90 days. (That is 60 days more then I can afford). I want to scream!

I know it's frustrating and mentally exhausting. She has to make an effort, or it's all in vain. Hopefully she will learn to accept that she is an addict and WANT to get help. Time will tell. I know the waiting game is horrible, but that's where it's at right now.
