MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

My Diary

In memory of...

Insomnia again!

Sep 26 2008

Damn this disease.  I had to sleep part of the day because I couldn't sleep last night and it's the same thing over and over.  It's  2:30 and have been trying to getto sleep since 11:00.  I HATE THIS!  I've tried every Rx and natural sleep aid there is and nothing helps, and I can't possibly afford that Biomat I've heard of.  I can't seem to afford anything that helps.

Back to bed again.   Sigh.....

Trazadone has really helped me. Have you given it a try?

I agree about the Trazadone; it helps and there are no morning side effects to deal with.

Good luck.

I'm sorry, I know the feeling. I hope you find something that helps. I really want one of the biomats, too. Talk to Connie and see what she can do for you. She may be able to get you a really good deal, or may know of a used one? IDK...But anyway, I'm feelin it, too! *hugs* Jen

I have had intermittent sleep since forever it seems and I am now 67. I hate it sooooo much. I used to wake up to go to the bathroom but now I wake up and realize I don't have to go. I just wake up! It seems I do my best sleeping between 3 and 8 a.m. It's so strange. When I took melatonin, I slept really well but I forget why I stopped using it.

I'm up as well, and slept all day due to lack of sleep last night. I've been sleeping less and less, and getting to work later and later, and fear losing my job. I take an antidepressant for anxiety/depression that used to knock me out, and I'm still awake these days! I started to drink coffee during the day at work to keep me awake, and was never a coffee drinker! Anyway, I am searching for a solution that works for me, and wish you the best of luck in finding something that works for you! I know there must be one out there! Take care ; ) Karen
