MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Welcome to my first entry!
Apr 22 2008

Hello all! i'm so glad i've joined this site! i found it yesterday while looking for some kind of online support group for fibromyalgia. there seem to be alot of educated and helpful, participatingpeople here so i'm excited! :)

anyway- i'll just jump right in. i'm home from work today due to fibro issues and have a doctors appointment in about an hour. i work full time in a kindergarten class, as sort of a teachers aide. i love the kids so much and miss them when i'm gone but recently, my fibro has really taken a toll on my health. i struggle with weather changes and we've had everything from cold to warm to humid and rainy, all within a days notice. i suffer from extreme back pain and migraine headaches. i know i should get up and exercise but sometimes even getting out of bed is a struggle. i'll sit up and get such intense pain in my head that i'll have to lay down again. i'm going to the doctor today because this is the first time i could get in to him since i called almost a month ago now. i have tons of things to ask him about and hopefully i'll get another referal to mayo to have all new testing done. my fibro hasnt been this bad since i was diagnosed which was about 6 years ago. anyway, i will try to write more when i get back, i should go get ready. but does anyone have any ideas of fun stuff to do when you're pretty much bed ridden? i read and watch tv and sometimes do word finds-oh and i've recently found these advanced coloring pages on line (they're for like adults) and those have been fun. i also crochet but now that the weathers getting nicer and the only thing i know how to make is scarves, that ideas kinda out the window! i hope all is well with everyone, and that you're enjoying the beautiful weather :)
