The week I found out about MRSA |
Feb 25 2012 |
I really felt kind of dumb. My story started on February 6th 2012 I woke up with 9 boils in my right arm pit, they were all small. I took hot baths all week long to draw out the infection. They were mostly gone by the end of the week, the following week I developed about a dozen more only about 2 of them came to a full boil, I also found one on my leg. Most of these were gone by the end of the week. The ones in my right arm pit were making it hard for me to sleep. I tried all kinds of strange home remedies like; soaking white bread and milk and putting them on the open sore, this did make it feel nice, but strange. The next thing I tried was eggs, the yolk and whites. I also did the thing with boiling the shell of 6 eggs, then draining the shells and drinking the water. The thing that seemed to work the best was the deep cleansers and mask for achene. By the end of the week these new ones were close to control but not all the way still having some issue sleeping. Then on Friday I got about another 2 dozen new ones and they were in both arm bits and on one arm. I had enough, I called and made the doctors appointment. She was not very helpful. She drained some of the fluid out of the ones that had been the biggest boils but they had already started to heal so she did not get much. She said I had MRSA and told me what the name meant, she gave me a prescription for antibiotics and a body wash and said to call her the next day for results of the test to see if I did have MRSA or not. She said the test was just to make sure but she had no doubt that is what I had, then she left. I felt oh all I have to do is take these bills and wash and I'll be good to go. Then I looked it up on the internet the next day. Surprise, I was not expecting what I found and what I did not find. I have lots of questions. I am hoping this sight will help me answer some of them.
