MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

Me

Round Two, Ding Ding.

Nov 19 2008
Today is day 6 of my second round of doxy treatment. There's no denying it, I am feelingawful. I definitely didn't feel this bad last time around (4 months ago. Treatment course for 4 weeks of 200mg/daily began 1 week after the bite from the tick.) This time around I'm on 300mg a day, plus supplements (I'm adding Samento, Olive Leaf, Garlic). My bones are cracking really intensely, and it hurts. It's especially focussed in my feet this time, which is new, and of course my knees as always. Stomach is taking some time to adapt to all the crap that I'm taking. By the grace of God I've been spared any huge headaches.

I just feel poor all over, though. A sort of malaise, I guess. I can only hope this all means that the drugs are working. I'm not sure whether to believe in the strict definition of a Herx, though. It makes scientific sense but I've heard people say that their Herx goes on and on... that doesn't follow the explanation that's usually given: Growth cycle of the spirochetes. I really want to get better but most of all worried about my family.

Here we go again. Comments welcome.

But boy everytime I start a new treatment my herx can last anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks .. And my knees are usually the first to feel the effects!! Hang in there!! There is light at the end of the tunnel !! smilies/wink.gif
