I had an appointment yesterday. I go every 4-6 months since my doctor is in Missouri. We went over my progress over the last 6 months and discussed every option I had before me. He's treats a lot of borreliosis patients and spends a great deal of time talking to/with you about treatment options and plans. I always leave his office with hope that becoming "normal" again is an option.
I'm in the process of looking for a doc in the south TX area. He wants me to go on IV's for a month to see if we can kick the last 15% of this disease. I've made tremendous progress in the last year, but that last 15% is pesky and hard to kick. Hopefully, by the end of the week, I'll find someone down here to help me out.

I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the doctor you've been seeing in MO and where? I like in KS near the MO boarder and am searching desperately for a LLMD in the area.

I'll bet that we're seeing the same doctor. I think he knows a lot, and I've heard he is the best, but nothing has worked for me yet. I've gotten a lot worse in a short period of time. We are both frustrated. And I have some difficult symptoms that even he hasn't seen before. He wants me on IV antibiotics too, but I also have to find a local doctor to handle this, since I live in Michigan. So it sounds like we're in the same boat.

I suffer from Lyme Disease for over 35 yrs now and saw this wonderful MD in 2005. He decided to not take Medicare patients anymore, so I have been without an LLMD since then. I really need to find one, but since I live in KY there isn't any around here at all. Missouri is the closet. I am just being treated by specialists as the symptoms appear. It is very discouraging.
I would like to hear how you are doing lately.
