I had an appointment yesterday.  I go every 4-6 months since my doctor is in Missouri.  We went over my progress over the last 6 months and discussed every option I had before me.  He's treats a lot of borreliosis patients and spends a great deal of time talking to/with you about treatment options and plans.  I always leave his office with hope that becoming "normal" again is an option.

I'm in the process of looking for a doc in the south TX area.  He wants me to go on IV's for a month to see if we can kick the last 15% of this disease.  I've made tremendous progress in the last year, but that last 15% is pesky and hard to kick.  Hopefully, by the end of the week, I'll find someone down here to help me out.

I found this support group today online.  Up until this point, I might not have cared to join, but something today lit up inside when I found others who are in my same condition. 

 I've improved since I was diagnosed a year ago; however, my journey back to normal life is still a few miles from completion.  My doctor is in a different state, and driving to see him is a biannual occassion.  I'm hoping to find a physician closer to home, but for now, I just feel blessed to have found a doctor at all!
