MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Who has Polycythemia?
Dec 08 2007

My head has been in a spin since I was diagnosed with Polycythemia. I have to go in for a phlybotomy at least once a month. They implanted a 'Bards' Port for this and now I can't find anyonethat knows how to use it to draw off the excess blood. I was already dealing with the reality that I will have to have both heart valves replaced and have been in atrial fibrilation for over a year. I am tired, bone tired.

I take Warfarin for the a-fib and have to take blood tests (PT/INR) for that on a regular basis and now polycythemia? The veins in my arms are screaming for relief, hence the port.
