MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

weeks of pain and hell!!!

Mar 04 2011
well the start of 2011 has not been good for me as I have been in pain since the start of the year. Even taking the painkillers only numbs the pain but I am just trying to cope and carry on as much asi can which is not proving easy as I have never had a pain cycle go for nearly 12 weeks so hoping it will break soon but the pain and fighting it is making me more tired than usual and very down and depression which has led to me crying more right now just to be able to cope and carry on.  I am getting there but the pain is not coming down so time will tell.  How do you cope with the pain I welcome any suggestions you may have tohelp and I welcome any comments that you may have!!!!

pain IS a state of mind, it is your bodys way of telling you theres something not right. my way of dealing with it is to visualise being somewhere nice, like favourate holiday place, concentrate hard till you can hear, see, smell the place. once your there the pain WONT BE. if your not able to take time out to do that just concentrate hard on something and take your mind off it!!! it does work

I use transcendental meditation to help with pain, depression, and anxiety. I'll look and see if I can find the books I read and sites I went to. Once you get the basics, it's really the minds the limit. You can learn to go deeper and deeper until the pain is duller and duller and you are in the light of happiness.
