MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

Life outside these walls

A recounting of issues that sprang up when I have to venture outside.

SERIOUSLY???????

Jun 30 2011

I knew taking meds I was gonna have to battle side effects.  A few are common place such as nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and headaches.  Well I happened to be cursed to experience everyknown side effect of a medicine when I take them so I've had my fair share of wide variety side effects.  Whoever has heard of a mental disorder drug causing running noses and coughing.  Well apparently geodon causes those.  Yeah I'm so not loving this drug.  It knocks me out cold when I take it and the rest of the time it makes me very sick.  Been hacking for the last two days and drying up my nose.  I'm just tired.  All this just from taking it once a day.  I'm supposed to start taking it twice a day tomorrow.  I don't know about this.  In any case, thats why I disappear for a few days here and there.  I'm flat out killed by these meds.  I feel like roadkill.  Fred has even been having to take up the slack with the kids and housework.  What's the point of taking meds to be able to go out when the side effects make you not feel like going out.

I had the same exact problem witth the effexor, i gave up after like 4 days, it was the first med of its kind i took so it hit me hard, i remember coughing more, sore throat, and this weird feeling in my esophagus... plus the dizzy nausea, all that, i think i might have gotten every side effect listed on that med, keep at it tho, im a sissy quitter, im told these side effects go away, my sister has been on Geodon for years now, she has been praising it.

I'm sorry you are going through all this, you may want to contact your psychitrist right away and report all what is happening to you, you should not be suffering like this. Some of these side effect do go away once you've been takng the med for a bit so try and not get too discouraged, often we feel these effects right away, but some do disappear, but let your pdoc know he may not have you take that extra pill, idk.
