Getting ready for the holidays

Hey everyone; life is going well.  We had a big snow storm Sunday; since they don't plow side streets in Novi we were basically snowed in with the foot of snow.  One of our neighbors lost control of his car and ended up in the ditch; many of the neighbors pitched in and had him back on the road quickly though.  Another neighbor hooked a ski line to his 4X4 and took his "big kids" snow boarding down the side streets.  My kids just sled down the driveway and had a blast.  No snowmen though, this wasn't good packing snow.  Believe me, we've been trying ever since to make one!

My pain level is up a bit; actually dipping into the vicodin stash a little (per doctor's instructions).  I'm having a blast getting ready for Christmas and watching the kids who are growing up way too fast.  Morgan is 4-days no potty accidents!  She is enjoying the ice cream sandwich rewards immensely.  The kids made cookies this morning for Brady's school Christmas party; Mo is pretty good with a rolling pin and didn't hit her brother once!  Brady loves his new soccer class and is doing really well.  He also is getting pretty good penmanship and can write his name.  Kevin is enjoying the slow down at work; he gets to go to the Christmas party today and was in charge of cookie making this morning.  He's discovered the stock market and is having a lot of fun researching and investing.  Now he has something other than sports to talk about!

Hope everyone has a happy holiday!
Hugs
Jessi
