Life and Acceptance with HPV

This is documenting my journey with this disease.

Decided to go a different route.

Mar 07 2011
Sorry it's been so long since I went in to post anything. I've been busy with school and moving and haven't really had the chance. I ended up not having a conoscopy but instead I had a LEEPproceedure. It turns out there was so much more than they had initially thought but everything came back pretty good. At least that's what the nurse said. I go in for my consultation on the 17th of this month and I'm sure my doctor will get into more detail with me at that point. So I basically got there and it all went very fast. They took all my stats like blood pressure, blood work, the norm. I actually had to get into a bed and wear a gown which was very odd since I've never had any sort of proceedure done before. The anestethiaologist (I'm sure I spelled that wrong!) came in and asked me about a hundred different questions and before I knew it I was being wheeled back into the room. They gave me something to help me relax and told me to climb onto the other "bed". That's about all I can remember. The next thing I know is that I was waking up and the nurse gave me a pill. Then they brought my mom back. I don't know what it is but I always get so sad when I come out of anesethesia. I've been having alot of discharge and it's pretty annoying. I'm at the point where I just want it to stop. But from what it looks like, it should stop just in time for my period. GREAT!!!! Lol. On a brighter note, I've been dating a guy and he knows all about what I've got going on and he's been so wonderful. I've been really happy here recently and I just hope that it continues. I'll write again after my doctor's appointment.
