Why wear a ribbon?

2nd Week of Treatment
Mar 18 2008

Well, I thought last week went way too smoothly.  As of Saturday, I started feeling some good ol' herxing.  It stinks!  With the Lyme zapping, the HBOT, the cleanses/detoxing andthe energy work. I'm beat!  But, it has to be a little bad to get better - Lymies know that.

I'm starting to feel nervous about maintaining all of this on my own at home. I found an acupuncturist that does similar work back in Texas so that's good.

I've never known fatigue like what I'm experiencing this week. I feel 'too tired to sleep'.  Looking forward to Thursday - I'll get to see how I'm doing with this treatment. We'll get to map everything again and see if my levels of Lyme, etc. drop.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Treatment - Week One
Mar 13 2008

Well, I have to say I'm really impressed and doing well with this treatment. I know most people prefer the conventional route but I'm sure that this is right for me.

I foundout that I have not only Lyme but Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, co-infections, Mono (for years), parasites, mineral deficiency, gallbladder/kidney/bladder/liver problems and a handful of other issues. I'm so glad I chose a doctor that would treat my body as a whole instead of just the Lyme. I really feel like it's important!  I can't fight infection with all the other issues I have. Until those organs get stronger, I can't get well - which is why many people don't get better.  I am a very healthy person other wise. No one would ever know by looking at me.

So, today was day 4 and I had my first herxing happen. I'm able to do a cleanse for my organs and I'm getting rid of the parasites.  I've spent 4 days on a Rife Machine so the Lyme is really getting zapped!

And, I got to meet Lymie in 3-D!  Had lunch with her, the hubby and her dad.  It was a good break from the battle!

You'd have to wear green and only green foods would be served.

I have felt great for almost 3 full days - I don't know what has happened. I think the bacteria are taking a long nap. Whew! I haven't even started any treatments yet so I guess I have a littlebit of a break. Thank god since I'm moving next week - I can get some packing done!!!
Wahoo!
Feb 05 2008

Good God this is nuts.  I called a new doctor today that a friend told me about. He has Lyme and his daughter does too. They have a practice together - I thought - "great - i'm sure theyhave researched a bunch of the different treatments and they aren't abx only doctors". Well, that wasn't the case. I called and talked to the receptionist. I first asked if she could tell me about the types of treatments they offer Lymies. She replied with a very bitchy "Well, honey, there is ONLY one way to treat Lyme and that's with 13 months of antibiotics".  Ugh. Again. I politely told her I wasn't interested and hung up.  I immediately called my aunt's doc in South Texas and made an appointment there. He's a believer in conventional and alternative and has had great success in treating Lyme patients.

After finding the doc in South Texas - I also found a chiropractor in the Dallas area that was so excited to have me come to his office to try out their Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber! They were sooo nice and the doc's sister-in-law also has Lyme and she's really improved by using the chamber.

Things are looking UP!!!!!!

Ugh.
