MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

June

So, Spring has finally sprung here in Alberta Canada! What a long and depressing winter we had. I am going to visit my native England for 6 weeks in July and August. NOw that was something I could have never imagined doing when I was housebound with Agoraphobia for 20 years. I have been mobile dfor many years now and help others to overcome Panic attacks and agoraphobia. Let me tell you though that I sometimes still get those fluttering feelings of fear in my stomach, esp if I am in a mall or other crowded place. All the colours and people going by seem to confuse my brain and if I can't see the person or place I want immediately, the old fear starts to rise. I have to remind myself to let it do it's worst as success comes on the other side of the panic attack. Some days different coping skills work better than others. There is no 'one size fits all'. Have a nice weekend everyone.

I'll help you get out of the house again

May 19 2010

Although I am a professional life coach who usually charges for my help, if you are housebound and on this site, I will help you for free. I coach people out of the house live on their cell phone. What happens is this. We agree on a mutually available time where you want to leave the house. I will call your cell phone and be with you every step of the way for free. If you panic, I will coach you through the panic attack. We would need to set up some pre education as to coping skills first. If the journey is small or long, I can be with you via cell phone. You can call me if you prefer (if you panic). I want to see you succeed and there is no obligation to follow up with paid sessions. I know what this illness is like. I suffered from it for many years. I now want to help you move forward. contact me if you are interested.

That is a great offer June! I am no longer completely housebound but if I was I would definitely take advantage of your offer. I do hope others will. To move forward we must take those steps.

this is a nice idea but on the phone is not safe enough ,,,in my opinion,,, Before I found Klonopin I suffered the most severe case of panic you would believe! I wanted to tare my skin off. Terrified! This is possible for all of us and for you to do it over the phone isnt safe unless the person has someone with them. Venturing out after a long time NEED other people with them in the begining. I couldnt do it without my husband with me. I only go to doc apts. and cash check every month and that is it! and hubby always with me.

Allisse...You are right that we often need people with us at first. I coach people for quite a few sessions on coping strategies before they get to the stage of leaving the house again. I coach over the phone as I coach worldwide. As regards being with people on their cell phone when they leave the house, that is different. The person is welcome to have another person with them while I am talking to them. Many people have no person that can be physically present with them when they leave the house, so I am all they have got at that time.

I remember a panic attack I had once where I went into tetanic spasm. I could only move my eyes, nothing else, so I do understand how bad they can get. If I can help you, please contact me anytime.
