MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

What I REALLY REALLY hate
Oct 22 2008

I really hate my arms and hands going numb, especially when I want to draw or study.

At least nobody is trying to hang me from the ceiling to fix it. When I think how many hours I spentin that useless traction, which only made it worse!

I think the problem is, my head is sitting on my neck.

That sounds like a classic case of axis or atlas trouble, the C1 and C2 vertebra of the neck that the skull rests on. They both cause the head to turn and bob. You might need to get that checked out. You might have some nerve impingement going on there. Being numb is no walk in the park!

Pat, it's been years since I've had my head turned, and the only person I bob to is the Queen. It's just the old fibro deal of nerves being pulled where they enter the base of the skull. Annoying, but only a little worse than scooping Kaiser's poopshit. Well, maybe a lot worse, since I have to scoop with hurting arms and hips, but I scarcely notice as I'm holding my breath and trying to get done before I faint into the stuff. Just part of the whole lovely package.
