Hummm....perhaps this is part of my problem as well!!!
• Do not start or stop using birth control pills or other female hormonal products until you have consulted your doctor. Stopping or starting these products may cause side effects (such as dizziness, lack of coordination, or double vision) or decrease the effectiveness of LAMICTAL.
• Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you experience side effects or changes in your menstrual pattern (e.g., break-through bleeding) while taking LAMICTAL and birth control pills or other female hormonal products.
I found this on the Lamictal site while looking at side effects for someone else on the forums. I wish I had seen this earlier!!!
I had gone home to visit the parents in October. I came back on Wednesday and had my 6wk post partum check up the next day. I began birth control that day. Now, the visit to the parents was a huge trigger for me. I came home a wreck. We all assumed that it was just a trigger and that was that...but apparently there may be more to the proverbial story.
