MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

I figured it out.........
Sep 26 2007

I figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!

Right after I got off the computer, I found out what had been making that funny noise (not the noise from DH, the noise in the room).

Somehowwe got a frog in our room???? Go figure. I mean, we live in the country and there are all sorts of things out here, frogs included, but in our bedroom? Anywhoo, it was jumping around all over the room and that is why I thought one time it was something falling to the left of me, and another I thought it was the cat jumping across the other side of the room. I look up and I see this funny blob on the wall. I knew what it was, but the first day we moved in we had a bat, so I was a little careful, but of course, it was the frog. I moved in, cap in hand, gently and slowly....................gotcha..................nope! Darn, he jumps FAR!! No wonder ppl eat those legs! Their nothing but muscle! OK, up on him again.....nope, I got him and before I can close the cap, he's out again! Third tries a charm, right? Ok, going in again.......slowly.......slow..........oh, he jumped in the cap, dumb frog! Or maybe he is really smart and wanted to get out, knowing my DH loves frog's legs. I dunno?

Anyway, out the back door he went, and I went back to sleep with no more strange sounds in my bedroom!

Where is it coming from?
Sep 26 2007

3:30 A.M.

Ok, so our A/C is on the fritz right now, but we have window unit left from when we lived in a northern state in our rooms. But the area right outsidemy door, doesn't have a unit, so it's kinda hot. So you have to keep my bedroom door shut, or it starts to get warm, especially since I am the closest to the door. I woke up as ususal a few times, but this time, I was drenched so I sat up and realized that someone left my boudroir door open........I got up to close it, went to check the baby chick, baby chick fine except needed water, replaced water, came back, and shut the door. Possibliness to say, but I had to wash my hands after the chick thing (it's an adorable animal, but an adorable animal with salmonella, no thanks). So I am finally making it back to my nice warm bed and as I get one knee up on the edge I hear this very, very small radio, like the ones you had when you were a kid, but when they were turned down low. You know that way they had that sort of nasal sound when they were on. I couldn't hear it very well, so I'm moving around in a cat like state trying to bob and weave and find this music source! I bend down, nothing, I walk closer to the bed, AHA! Ok, so I'm listening to this music and I'm thinking, "I really want to find this, cuz this is some interesting music!" I had a couple of lines that would play and then it would cut out of a bit, and when it came back it would be the same chorus playing again. I can hear, "Baby, Baby", and "Baby I need you so much." (Real fast all on the same high note, men signing-just in case you were wondering) So I am trying very hard to find the source now. But since it comes in and out, it makes it harder. Oh, then it starts again, ok, looking, looking. I end up on hands and knees, yes, I know, this is absolutely how bad I want to know, but you can do this in my extra, extra plush pillow top. So, hands and knees and leaning over my husband.....................IT'S COMING FROM HIM!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, now imagine all of the things that go through your mind at 4 a.m. when you hear something like that. "Ok, ummm, I'm imagining it. No, I hear it, oh, he is trying to get me to fall in love with him all over again, no wait, he can't sing. Ok, I got it. He has a mini radio in the opposite ear and that is what I am hearing. *scratches head* *sigh* Ok, it must be in my head, NO, THERE IT IS AGAIN, I HEAR IT CLEAR AS DAY!!!!" So now I am really leaning over my husband and I have long hair and it tickles his arm. Huummm, music stops. Hubby's awake, hubby's not happy. OIC, music was.............the air going through his nose as he snored........

Ok, ladies, so I have heard a LOT of sounds eminating from husband, non of which are good, but what does that MEAN???? Does that mean that he loves me so much I hear music when he snores?? OH, YUK, I HOPE NOT!! LOL!!! I'd swear I heard it, but I have a very musical brain. My entire childhood was immersed in music, so that is all I can chalk it up to.

So I climb back to my side, and hubby asks when am I going to turn the light off so he can go back to sleep. Ok, ok, there light off. I'm snuggling down, getting all comfortable, and something makes a funny noise behind me. I'm up!! The lights are on. I don't see a thing. Ok, light off. Oh sheesh, now the cat is making some sorta noise, so light back on. Wait, the cat is in my daughter's room so that when my husband leaves for work, he won't let her out and get the baby chick. So what is that sound?

I don't know, I never figured it out, but I did keep hearing things. I admitted to my husband, "Yeah, this time, I think it's all in my head!"

What's it's name......
Sep 25 2007

When I woke up at 7:30 (I was able to get back to sleep) my headache was better. It's barely there, and I am sure once I get around my teens, it'll be back, but hey, it's gone for now, right?

Baby Chip (s/he is called that until we know what it is, boy or girl, because of the chipping away at the shell) is doing fine, it seems. I checked on it, and it was finally sleeping soundly. I think that it is missing it's mother, and siblings (that should have been there). I really don't know if we are going to get anymore or not. We have 10 hens (well, my husband says nine now, because he is sure one got eaten a few days ago) and we don't have the hen house up yet. I have one of those men who likes to buy the animals before we have a place to put them. I mean, it was sweet, he bought them for me. I am the one who wanted them. Anyway, they all decided that the best place for them to lay was in the old doghouse. It had hay on the bottom and it is nice, dark, and just the right temp (evidently). So I have this one hen who decided that she wants to sit on the eggs, called going Broody. But all the other hens kept going in and laying eggs in there and pushing them under her. So, at one time she had something like 35 eggs. Well, she finally pushed about 20 of them away from her, and I had to go through them and I am certain that most are undeveloped babies. My poor husband cracked one open one day. And I don't know if the ones under her will make it since some were pushed out for a day or two. Sheesh, I don't think farming is for me. I hurt too much to be dealing with this, ya know. But oh, the joy's of the animals!! It's hard on the kids when one dies, but the joys of it are great. I can wait until the goats get pg and have babies. That should start anytime now. Although, if I can't keep a baby chick safe, what am I going to do with the goats? Bring them in the house too??

Oh, sheesh!!!

Baby Chick
Sep 25 2007

As if I don't have enough things to keep me awake (ummm, snoring in the background) we were blessed to have baby chicks hatch on the farm today. Unfortunately, one of them died before we evenknew it was out there. I don't know what happened, but it had some fire ants on it, but I don't think that is what killed it. It managed to get out of it's shell almost the entire way, but didn't make it for some reason. Anyway, I looked very closely, and sure enough there was a second one that had gotten it's beak through a hole in the shell. I picked it up before the ants had a chance to get to it. But, I thought, what am I going to do with this. It was very warm, and so I thought ok, I'll take it in the house, and let it hatch in safety (as the mother was dealing with fireants coming after her as well, as she sat on the rest of the eggs).

Ok, so here I am with this baby chick, in a basket, filled with grass......seriously looks like easter!! I'm waiting and watching and nothing. Ok, so I go back to other things, and nothing. I tried to call my neighbor, but turned out that she had my number wrong, she has an ag degree and knows everything to do. I picked up the egg and noticed that it was cold now, so we talked about it (8 yrs. olds are so helpful!) and we decided to put it under a heat lamp. So out into the living room it went, basket a and all, under a heat lamp. Still nothing. So I finally called the local feed store, and he said that I had done everything right, and that it needed the warmth to continue the hatching process. So YAY!! We didn't screw it up!! So needless to say, very soon after it returned to it's regular temp, it started pushing and stretching and well, 9 hours later, NEW BABY CHICK!!! Can't sex it yet, it's too young, but it is soooooooooo cute. I will put pics up soon. Ah, the miracle of life and death. It was so very hard on my daughter especially, the loss of the one baby, but she is enjoying this other one, so much. Now if I can keep them from killing it! First thing my youngest did was come to me with this lego car looking thing, steering wheel and all, and said,"Look, it's for the baby chick. See it can sit and drive!" Oh, sheesh, poor thing doesn't stand a chance does it?

I can't seem to get back to sleep, due to a headache. It's not a bad one, just bad enough to keep me up. I am sure that I will get back to sleep, although I don't know just when.

God bless to all, and all my friends here on DS. Without you I would be so lost!!

I have to share this......
Sep 24 2007

I have to share this. Maybe I am not supposed to, but I HAVE to. I find it so amazing.

We have been having some rather difficult times in our financial arena. Yesterday at church, I wanted to give to the offering so bad, but had very little money. I remembered that I did have two dollar bills, and a twenty that my husband had extra and gave to me for groceries. I thought about the widow and her two mites, and what that two dollars could buy me, and I said,"No, God will provide for my groceries, I am trusting Him." I put in the two dollars. Afterwards, I had this mental struggle, thinking,"I really needed that money,'" and then, "NO, God will supply, He always does!" Back and forth, finally getting myself to focus on the message!!

We had a brisket pulled out and cooking, and I told my husband,"Let's go to the store and get some potato salad, bread, stuff like that. (With my back out, I was having to bake bread since I couldn't do a store run.) Anyway, to make a long story short, I got to the checkout, having been very careful not to go over my $20. I didn't and we got what we needed. I pulled out a few of these old gift cards that had like .17 and .89 cents on them. I was just going to use them and get rid of them. I was tired of carrying them around. The second one that I pulled out, covered the entire amount, and I told her, that wasn't right. She printed a receipt and showed me that that particular card had $100.00 to start off with and still had $81 something. I nearly flipped. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT CARD ONLY HAD A FEW CENTS!!!!!!! NO DOUBT!!! I DON'T FORGET THINGS LIKE THAT!!!

To say the least, we went back and SHOPPED!!! Got extra everything and I still have more to use!!! I am so estatic. Not only did God keep His promise, He did it within a few hours!!!

Amazing, right? I know that some of you will say, oh, it was just coincidence. She forgot! NO!! I DIDN'T FORGET. I BOUGHT THAT ONE PARTICULARLY DIFFERENT SO IT WOULD LOOK DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHERS, AND I REMEMBER USING THE ENTIRE AMOUNT EXCEPT FOR A FEW CENTS!!! I don't forget these things. God supplied my needs!! And He always will, even though I am completely undeserving!!!! (AND BELIEVE ME, I AM UNDESERVING!!!)

Just thought I would pass it along. Feel free to tell anyone else, my "$2 story".

Love and Joy!!!!

Men!!!!!
Sep 24 2007

Why on God's blessed green earth, do MEN SNORE??? I was perfectly content, dreaming even, of guess what......sleeping and getting intrupted by my husband's snoring..........when I wake up, and sure enough....*snore*snore*snore*. Sheesh, my eyes are burning cuz I am so tired, and I can't get back to sleeps because of it.....

So here I sit. Had a nice day with the family though....if you don't count the fighting about whose fault it was that we went over our minutes. That was fun!! Sheesh, teenagers! But all in all, a good day. Good time together, good meal, good day. I am thankful for those days. DH works so very much and we enjoy him so much, that today was nice because he was even in a pretty good mood, since he had been dove hunting (didn't shoot anything to speak of, but not the point).

He's not snoring quite as loud now............shhhh......I'm gonna try to sleep!!!!!!
