Went to Neurologist on the 4th of may. I had a seizure in his office. He told me to go home I would be fine. Go ahead and take up to 8mg of Ativan in a 24 hour period. I take that crap and I am a sloth. He told me to come back and see him in a month. I walked out and didn't look back. My 18 year old daughter was with me, and took me over to the hospital. I am so out of control it's not funny.

Angry & Confused.

Jul 15 2010
I have had an appointment scheduled with my neurologist for a while now.  It did get changed from the 8th, to the 16th, today my fiance reminded his boss that he is taking me tomarrow.  The boss who is 97 years old told him that he didn't see anything wrong with me, so I should just drive myself.  He wants the phone number to my Dr. so he can call him to find out what is going on.  Of course that won't happen, they won't release my info to him.  He doesn't understand what epilepsy is, and thinks that because I have good days that there is nothing wrong with me.  I have already been hauled out in an ambulance from the ranch once.  I can't get them to understand what is happening.  I am afraid that my fiance is going to lose his job because of my epilepsy. I don't know what to do.  Do I leave my fiance to save him from my problem?

hey, sorry to hear you're going through this. Personally, I'd say not to just up and leave your fiance. Ya gotta at least include him in the decision, ya know? Its only right. If ya ever need to talk, just let me know. I have partial seizures and have had some problems at work that are difficult for people to understand, so I get where you're coming from. Best of luck!

Ignorance is the largest trouble with society and epileptics-and a little knowledge of it is dangerous because there scared of what we might do in there company. which catagory does your fiance's boss fit in?? reason i ask is let 'the boss know' that to save time off work hell bring you to work on the way to hospital smilies/grin.gif if he shys away he's admitting he knows and is trying to put pressure on your man. (my logic anyway smilies/cheesy.gif ) so you and your man can see what the boss is up to.
NEVER leave a love because of epilepsy, as long as you both talk you both know where you stand, the fact that hes taking you shows its not a problem to him and that he loves you ye!! just talk with your man, maybe if hes a good listener and a wise and fair man the boss will come to an understanding and work around your appoinment so he and your man dont loose work ah. be possitive and keep smiling-all else fails tell 'the boss' to come here and ill tell him about epilepsy and the psychology behind it. GRRRRRRRR i wont bite him--(to hard smilies/tongue.gif )
