Peace and Love

Apr 18 2011

I will know peace when...I understand that love and peace work hand in hand.

Love is the only experience that replaces fear,

Peace is the result.

Love is the experience of taking in the breath of life, without fear,

Peace is the result.

When you know that you can handle all things in love,

Peace is the result.

When you love yourself through every experience, without any fear about where you are going,

Peace is the result.

Peace is the helpmate of love

When you commit yourself to loving all and doing all in love,

Peace takes care of everything else.

Until today, you may not have realized the divine relationship that exists between love and peace. Just for today, be a part of the divine relationship that can bring miracles into your life.

Today I am devoted to loving myself and all others in a peaceful way!

-taken from Until Today by Iyanla Vanzant

How often do we forget this? That to have peace, one must utilize love. Love of self is so hard to do when one has a mental illness. We always feel broken. Some do remember though and live through love. We feel healed and whole when we do that. I have been there before, when I didn't feel broken, well, not true...I always feel broken but when I felt less broken. It was a time when I was able to be open and allow love to flow through me. I tend to overprotect myself these days. Not taking as many risks for fear of turmoil. Fear is the leader at those times.I do everything in my power, every single day, to allow love to lead me. It feels so much better that way.

When I feel love flowing through me, I feel full!
