Why wear a ribbon?

MDJunction to me

sarahtroy"There's a special place in my heart for MDJ's Bipolars dealing with Alcoholism support group. As an alcoholic in recovery, it is my safe harbor. I draw strength and hope from our Bipolar alcoholics and addicts who bravely share their experiences and courageously face our common demons. This is a special, close and safe group to explore any alcohol or drug issues. I have made many dear friends and been sustained by the love and acceptance so freely offered." (sarahtroy)

My older sis and I were talking about how Dad will be released in a few weeks, and she is concerned about him sleeping too much.  I explained to her that being tired alot is part of the disease.. she then tells me she knows someone else with cirrhosis who is all active and apparently amazing.  She can be such a turd sometimes.. no sympathy to our Dear old Dad and his daily struggles... because in her mind... she just thinks he needs to be like running a marathon and then TADA he is better...  Cripes! I am annoyed sorry.

Hugs, tootsie... I have to deal with his sisters and his son that are always stating...just work through the pain. He should get up even when he feels sick and tired and just do things he needs to do. Like eating....just eat! Yeah and then threw up. Your father is so fortunate to have you. Caring and trying to consider how he feels; how things effect him is wonderful. Will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
