MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Embracing Pain

Who am I kidding..

carpal tunnel surgery

Jul 14 2009

Well, I went to the hand specialist today, and I am indeed a candidate for carpal tunnel surgery, on both hands. I was afraid that he would say that it wasn't bad enough to do surgery, despite the fact that I drive switching hands as they become numb, make phone calls the same way, and find some acts of normal hygiene very painful. Dr. Novak was very nice and easy to talk to, and I really seemed to relate well to him. I am so excited by the prospect of getting some pain relief that I am having the first hand done next Monday. I have not felt well today, though.  I keep having headaches and I feel like the range of motion in my neck has lessened, at least the pain free range.  I fear and kind of hope that neck surgery is in my future, if it would reduce the pain.

Well, have to help get the kids off to bed.
