When I get misunderstood

Jun 28 2012
I get angry easily when I get misunderstood even though we are all human and make mistakes. And I think the reason why I get angry when I get misunderstood, or worse........sad is that I do have learningdisablities, I WAS special ed, and my family still treats me like I can't do a lot of things.  And the Agor, the panic, they don't help on that aspect........sometimes my dad or my sister will still call me stupid, or my mom will go "you can't even do the little things!" So when people misunderstand me I kinda feel like it's my fault because the processing in my brain is screwy, and I guess I feel stupid when it happens. And that's such a hard thing to admit......and I now have tears in my eyes. Geez I hate crying.

No need to cry Erin. You have many of us who like you just as you are. We think you make perfect sense. Just look at your own entry. Ask yourself if a stupid person could have written that!

Oh Erin. I am sorry. You know, personally I would have never known that you have learning disabilities if you did not say so. You are a very intelligent and thoughtful young woman. We all have our sensitivities, trust me..

Erin,
Reading this made me cry smilies/sad.gif
Your are very wise for your years. You don't need a degree to be intelligent. smilies/wink.gifYour real, true to yourself and always there if someone needs you. My Granddaughter was recently diagnosed with Autism and she will be in SPECIAL ED classes too. That only means she may need more time to graps and understand what come quickly for others and she learns differently. YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL TO SO MANY. smilies/wink.gif I am sorry you are exposed to that kind of crap from family. You are not stupid, your process differently. It harder when it comes from family. But look at the replies here. Your perfect just as you are, and don't ever let anyone or think make you question your intelligence or worth. Love and Hugs Northern style smilies/wink.gif

I love what Kildare said. You do make perfect sense and are very special to us. You have helped many of us, including me. It's perfectly understandable for you to get angry and cry when no one understands you though. Hugs and love to you.
