A couple of questions for God

Excuse me, God........????

I have a question of biblical interest. I know you're really busy judging people and all, so I'll try to make it quick. (I've seen what happens whenyou get irked.)

Faith is believing isn't it? Believing that in the end, all the good little boys and girls will rejoice and join you in heaven for an eternal party? That sounds more like FATE to me. And doesn't FATE make prayer seem kind of redundant?  Please call on your sense of humor God,  as I have mine in order to digest the state of this world you created.

I must say; your intentions were massive, and you did a bang up job.... I've seen the seven wonders and and a few other wonders I won't mention...  I mean, I'm talking to GOD for Christs sake! (Ooops, sorry ‘bout that one)

NOTE TO SELF:  Be sure to say 5 Hail Marys and 2 Our Fathers - then you'll be holy again.  Hmmm...  Not bad. Totally worth it.....

Anyway, God, you must be proud. I mean, you did ALL THAT in six days and a relaxing Sunday to reflect on your working week!!!!

 Ummm...

We're all your children, but I can't help but feel somewhere throughout evolution and lineage, our descendants  truly became "of our own creation" which sort of renders you a preference, doesn't it?

Please don't be offended God, but for some people you are as optional as "Would you like to super-size that?"  But those people are going straight to hell anyway.

I mean, what with all the new-fangled theories...some people are questioning what the truth is.  They say scientists have physical proof of how the world was really created... you know; stuff like "Big Bang" and evolution.  I mean, all that stuff is just silly, right? What kind of moron would believe THAT stuff??? I makes WAY more sense that we were just created by some guy we've never seen and can't prove.  Duh.

I know what's up.... I realize that there's no choice.  You just are who you are. Period. We worship you or go to Hell. Period dot.   Everyone should just accept that fact.

Oh, by the way God, I'm more than willing to go out brazenly into the world, find all the people who disagree and SHOVE THE BIBLE DOWN THEIR THROATS until they agree that they are wrong, and we are right!!! Will that score me some extra points on judgement day??

scary GOD

hey, kim-that guy sounds f'ing scary. if he happens to answer you back, tell him i was talking to my god and she says that the whole story you were telling up there is a bunch of bunk. That's B-U-N-K. she says a lot of stuff about peace and acceptance. i know the god you were talking to isn't so fond of tolerance, but he should watch out for my god as she is one tenacious bitch and i think she's gaining ground.

btw-i'd tell him all this myself, but i don't talk to that guy anymore. he scared me through 12 years of catholic school and then some, so i stick with the god i met later. i hope you're not offended by this comment, and i certainly hope i don't offend anyone else...
Hey, Kimmie

God does not fit in a box. The anthropomorphic god that has emotions and anger is not the one that I personally pray to. I think that is our human way of rationalization for a concept so immense that it eludes our total understanding.

There are so many other explanations for the concept of God. Jung calls God an archetype that is wired into our brains. We try to find words of description. Falling short in explaining because we each have a different way of describing it. Like Plato's explanation of the original ideal. Describing a chair and each of us has a picture of the chair in our heads, but, if we draw a picture, each one will look different but, have the same components.

My idea of God is that God is. Period. A complete sentence in itself. Needs no object in the sentence because God is complete. My understanding is that God is all of the things we ALL know about God. ALL of us...there are no wrong answers about God. So I choose to believe in the total God of all understanding. And the belief is my personal choice.
I am going to pass the plate now...LOL by the way that is a pet peeve of mind...collecting money in the name of God.

Glad you posted this in your diary...hope you don't mind the comment. love ya....

I just believe in letting people believe what they want to believe. Gathering as much knowledge as I can (if they are a close enough friend to understand what they believe)...

Some people are more convicted in their beliefs and express so more than others.

Everyone will tell you what their OPINION is on their beliefs. Nobody is exempt. The Bible isn't the only book that suggests how the world was created and yet it is the one we all have the BIGGEST problem with.

The problem with the theory of evolution is the "missing link"...problem with the BIG BANG theory, is WTF? Yeah okay, two rocks collided and now we are humans who suddenly know how to fuck and make other humans...and from this one bang came the earth and all it's inhabitants.

The truth is, I don't know how all this shit came about...history is so vague, the ONLY people that know are the people who lived it. The people who wrote it, heard from a friend, who heard from a friend who wrote it, and then it was re-written...

Who really fucking knows besides...oh yeah, NOBODY.

So believe what you believe. Be convicted in those beliefs, keep it to yourself or shout it loud.

If you're a GAY PRIEST...be one.
If you're an ATHIEST...be one.
If you're into WICCA...blessed be.

I am personally strong enough that if someone is trying desperately to cram something down my throat (Mormons are the fucking worst, G-PA is one so you can imagine the family reunions) I can say politely, GET THE FUCK OFF MY PROPERTY OR I'LL SHOOT (except to grandpa that is).

There is too much FALSE in the world to find any truth...that is when FAITH must take place. If you have to find faith in Buddah...I can't deny anyone that...I mean really in the grand scheme of things it is amazing how insignificant any of us really are.

Just ask the 21,000 people that just got CRUSHED by the earthquake in China...what did they believe? Who really fucking cares now...huh?

ALL I know is that you're born to die...The minute you are born, you start dieing. That is the only fact that holds any water...What you do in the mean time? Whatever. Who you effect, either negatively or positively? So what. Party till you puke, or set out to change the world (which you won't do so give the fuck up), I don't care.

Just let me die in peace.

Peace Out!

One more thing...

I believe animals rule the earth and we are all just puppets in their master plan.

I also believe in the Raccoon God who robs from the rich to feed himself.

I also believe the Squirrels are trying to take over!

The idea that He would take his attention away from the universe in order to give me a bicycle with three speeds is just so unlikely that I can’t go along with it.
-Quentin Crisp

If God listened to the prayers of men, all men would quickly have perished; for they are for ever praying for evil against one another.
-Epicurus

There can be no Creator, simply because his grief at the fate of his creation would be inconceivable and unendurable.
-Elias Canetti

You've touched a chord, so to speak!
I liked your writing, your honesty. I have been there myself, but have slowly evolved my thinking and am finally (mostly) at peace with the creator. It took me years.
Alot of what we get angry at, when it comes to 'God', is what we've been taught by people. Maybe we should be mad at them, but then, they are only people.
Keep it simple. God has grace for us, he ought to, afterall, this life ain't easy.
I hope you don't lose all faith in these struggles.
Keep writing.

Kim, I think that your inner self is the only one you have to please with your beliefs. It's no one elses business or concern. For most of my life, I was a pure to the bone athiest. As my own mortality creeps closer, I have softened somewhat and now I consider myself agnostic. Ya know......just in case!!!! lol
Thanks for that, you guys.....

THAT was great! You said so much of what I think and feel and then added your own mix to it. Yes, I would wish all of the harm and suffering that takes place on MY children? Yeah, thanks, Dad.

Sorry, I'm not sold. Then again people said I was going to hell to even listen to that Depeche Mode song. You know the one.

Love the pup, by the way. How can people be afraid of a face like that? (Michael Vick can rot in hell)
