MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Dealing with my wife's manic.

This Diary started as notes to track my wife's manic break. Now it is a place to record my recovery from the end of my marriage caused by the mania.

Good weekend

Jun 18 2012

I had a pretty good weekend.  I had friends come into town to visit for the weekend.  They are the married couple that has called me almost every day since I found my wife with the other man.

We had a good time.  They came in Friday night.  We went and had dinner at Outback (I decided to heck with my diet this weekend, but I am back on it major starting today).  We then went back to my apartment and watched a couple of movies.

On Saturday, we got up, went out to breakfast at a country breakfast buffet, then drove around town so they could see where I worked and what Tallahassee looked like.  We went to some stores (Bestbuy, and a couple game and comic book stores).  My friends said one of the girls at checked us out at one of the stores was flirting with me.  I did not see it, but they assured me they were telling the truth.  If it was true or not, it still made me feel good.    Later we played a board game called Arkham Horror.  It was pretty good.  It was my first time.  We took a break while playing and went to a place in town called Lofty Pursuits.  It is a toy store and real soda jerk and icecream parlor.  We had some ice cream, and they bought some new board games. Then we went swimming in the evening.

Sunday morning, we went to a place for breakfast I had just heard about and it was pretty good, then came home and they helped me rearrange my apartment a bit to make it more comfortable if I have a few people over at one time.

Sunday evening, I went and hung out with one of the new Social groups I have joined (The Tallahasee Nerds and Geeks) and had dinner with them.

So it was a busy and good weekend.  Sunday night I did get a little apprehensive thinking about my ex wife and what happened.  But it was not long and not as bad as it has been in the past.  So I think that is a good sign.

just like a cut, it is painful at first but eventually the pain will go away but you will still see a scar.
