Cirrhosis....The Nightmare

This is going to be my way of trying to cope with my husband's illness. The illness his doctor said he didn't have that nearly killed him on 2-15-09 when his esophagus exploded (my best description of what happened that night).

Today is our 28th anniversary, quite an accomplishment for both of us. We had planned for him to go to the Y and work out while I ran a couple of errands and then have dinner out later. Cirrhosis has other plans, his breathing is difficult again today so we're going to the doctor instead. I don't understand....he just got out of the hospital for breathing problems. They drained off 6 liters of fluid and it doesn't appear to be what's going on this time. Guess we'll find out later. I just hope it's nothing more serious. He looks so sad, it makes me sad but I won't let him see that.

I am sorry you are going through this and no one knows how hard it is unless you are going through it too. My heart goes out to you I felt like crying when I read your post because cirrhosis has taken over my life too. My niece is getting married in Jamacia on the beach next week and I cann't go because of this dam cirrhosis that has consumed us. There are no plans that can be made just maybe's if he is okay is all you can plan. Happy Anniversary 28 years is a long time. I cann't tell you to be strong because that is what everyone tells me and it just makes me mad. I am sorry your plans were ruined. Let me know how he is doing I will pray for him and you.
