MDJunction to me

grandmasylvia"MDJ has been "a soft place to fall" for me as Dr Phil says. I have this very painful rare disease Dercum's Disease and take comfort in finding others here who share their knowledge and compassion. Many
members have helped me just by understanding my anguish and validating
my pain. We are working together to encourage research toward a cure.

Chiefly

Fibromyalgia and chronic back pain rule my life.

I finished up the Facet joint injections and my back feels great! Even the fibro flareup has calmed. Now if I just don't do too much. OOPS - I cooked for two dinner parties in two days. Maybe that was too much. Good news is so far only about a 4.5 instead of an 8-9 on pain. I hope this holds! My new Dr apparently is one of the top physians in the pain management field. Nurses at surgicenter said I was lucky to get him! So far seems that way!!! YEA!

Long time gone.

Wow - Haven't been here in the longest time.  I had the neuro-stimulation implant and have to say it has releived some pain.  However, as soon as I go shopping, or cook a meal, or cleanthe house, it seems I am right back where I started from and takes days to heal myself by doing: Nothing!

Guess the day to day is OK but I am only 63, I shouldn't have to give up my life to this.  As for the fibro I feel like if this affected as many men as it does women it would get lots more attention!  As my grandaughter says BLEEEEEEEEECH!
