Another Day, Another Sound

A record of my attempts to tune out the sounds that make me crazy...

Ok....

Aug 10 2011
This has absolutely nothing to do with my misophonia today...I know, miracles.  I've had problems with my feet since high school.  Apparently bunions can be a hereditary trait and I seemto have gotten this from my mom's side of the family.  Anyway, because I've been in so much pain lately I made an appointment with a orthopedist that my pcp recommended.  The Reader's Digest condensed version is that he looked at my foot, took an x-ray, told me that the bunion was "nothing impressive" and why didn't I just go buy some new shoes to make myself feel better.  I'm sorry, go buy new shoes to make myself feel better????  WTH!!  I've got a closet full of new shoes and I'm sorry to tell you this, but they have nothing to do with correcting a bone deformity.  I'm just curious, has anybody else run into a doctor that seems to think that going shopping will cure what ever your problem is?  I shudder to think what I'd run into if I ever tried to explain to my pcp about my misophonia.  I'd probably be committed!
