My day began today with another biopsy appt for my thyroid nodule. I have tonsillitis also at the moment, with sore throat & temps, & can barely get myself out of bed. This time at least theyuse local anaesthetic before beginning the procedure. I thought it was going to be so easy this time - take a sample, then a second sample just to be sure they had enough specimen, then I would be done. But NO!! 5 anaesthetic & 6 biopsy needles later, I am black & blue, in terrible pain, & [...]

I am finally having some much needed pain relief from my hip. The doc gave me another course of a different anti-inflammitory called Proxen SR 1000, & Tramadol 300mg. I feel like a new woman tosay the least! After not being able to walk very well since early April, I am now dancing with my 2 girls, & taking walks in the evenings with my husband.

I have taken Tramadol before, but a much lower dose that I took at night before going to bed. It helped a little, taking the edge off [...]

Well I am to have the nodule out of my thyroid. The biopsy that was done did not produce enough cells for testing, so the doc has decided it should come out regardless. It has been restricting my breathing& swallowing, so will be good to have it gone. I don't know how long I will have to wait for my surgery, I just hope its not too long. They will test the nodule for cancer once its removed. Apart from that I have had a pretty good day. Its school holidays here, so no early mornings for [...]

I began having pain in my right hip the week before Easter. I thought initially it was due to the Lupus or the Fibro, but it just wouldn't settle. My specialist put me on a strong course ofanti-inflammitories for 10 days. I was pretty good the whole 10 days, but as soon as the course was finished, back came he pain. I could barely walk! I would've got around on crutches if my arms had the strength to carry me!! I went to my GP, & he sent me for an ultra-sound, where it has sh [...]
