MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." Aiming to live without Lupus & Fibromyalgia

I want my life back, & aim to do it one way or the other. I will keep researching, asking questions, & trialing anything that is suggested till I have put these illnesses behind me.

Bad Hip

Jun 10 2011

I began having pain in my right hip the week before Easter. I thought initially it was due to the Lupus or the Fibro, but it just wouldn't settle. My specialist put me on a strong course ofanti-inflammitories for 10 days. I was pretty good the whole 10 days, but as soon as the course was finished, back came he pain. I could barely walk! I would've got around on crutches if my arms had the strength to carry me!! I went to my GP, & he sent me for an ultra-sound, where it has showed up some calcification on the outside of my right hip. I am to go back next wednesday to have a cortisone injection that should hopefully relieve it for me. I also had my thyroid ultra-sound checked & go to the doc on Sunday to get results. He thinks I may have an enlarged thyroid.

On a brighter note though, my Lupus & Fibro seem to be progressively getting better, so hopefully once I've kicked this problem with my hip, I'll be on my way to better days.
