A long journey, not finished.

This tells my story from May of 2009 until now. My journey is not done yet, because I am still fighting complications of my cirrhosis.

celebrating success

Apr 30 2012

I just congratulated another SVR and it got me to thinking about all the success stories--more now than ever. The new drugs are really doing the job! When I treated, just 2 short years ago, the new drugs were still in trials and most of my fellow treaters were on the old SOC of interferon/ribavirin. There were not any where near the amount of people that cleared the virus. It is just amazing the new discoveries out there. I hear there is a regimen now with all pills and no shots. And even talk of a vaccine.

I just love celebrating successes with people. good news like that is so very wonderful. Just wanted to write down these thoughts.
